Pesticide Damage

Insecticide injury:
  • Malathion

Symptoms: classical pesticide burn on upper and lower leaf surfaces. Absent any fungal growth unless secondary pathogens have invaded.

Virus-like symptoms caused by herbicides:
  • 2,4-D (Phenoxy)

Symptoms: extent of damage depends on dosage applied. Growth distortion, epinasty, and fernleaf-like symptoms.

Symptoms: extent of damage depends on dosage applied. Terminal epinasty with fernleaf distortion, yellowing and necrosis, stunting, or bright yellow coloration.
