Symptoms on Seedlings

  • Damping off (Pythium and Rhizoctonia)

Symptoms: common cause of seedling loss with water-soaked and mushy stems. Some seedlings fail to emerge. Results in stem girdling, plant wilt, and death.

Symptoms: light brown spots that often start at a wound or dead tissue. Fuzzy gray fungal growth develops in moist conditions. Common in greenhouse production, especially with poor ventilation.
